The new moon for March arrived at direct alignment at 9:14am EST, (Top O' The Mornin') on March 17th. This is our final new moon of the winter season here in the northern hemisphere. This coming week, we will once again align with the time of equal balance with the spring equinox, in the northern hemisphere; and the fall equinox, in the southern hemisphere. Our new moon is in Pisces, so what does that mean? We are also in a Mercury RETROgrade. The Pisces' energies may have you feeling a bit emotional or flowing as it is a water sign. Even though this is a new moon, you may also find yourself feeling ready to RElease and REdo some of your past desires. This is a REflection of the energies that are also contributing to the field at this time through Mercury RETROgrade.
As we begin to also gain support from the planetary shift of seasons, those of us in the northern hemisphere begin to stir and dream of possibilities. Depending on your location you may still be in a deep freeze or snow covered, yet your heart is beginning to flutter awake with urges of future seeds to start planting. Be guided this new moon to allow your region of the earth to speak to you. Be guided by your inner knowing. In my region, although spring arrives in a few days, the landscape and inner guidance is leaning more towards taking care of the final stages of inner work prior to stepping outside to create. This is also a literal message. We are snow covered so no yard work. Clean the inside of the house first this spring and the outside will line up soon enough. In the southern hemisphere the final harvests and bounties will be gathered as dreams of a peaceful reflecting period will be next to arrive during your winter season. This new moon, falling on March 17th, is also within the time spiral of the celebration of Saint Patrick. He is a symbol of joy, good fortune, and luck. Embrace all of the particles of light streaming in from the universe as you dream like an Irish dreamer and write your wish list to the new moon tonight. All the Irish eyes will be smiling down upon you. On a side note, Saint Patrick was the patron Saint of Ireland yet his family lineage was not "from" Ireland. Another truth to the expression everyone is Irish on Saint Patrick's Day. Allow the joy of celebration to shine today as you create your wish list for this new moon cycle! Allow yourself time during this new moon creation cycle to ease into spring. The Irish also celebrate Beltane Day on May 1st. This is roughly the halfway point between spring and summer. On Beltane Day, the fields were smudged to clear and release all the winter energy and the livestock was welcomed back into the countryside after spring cleanup and a long winter. Many bright moonBEams to all of you as we approach the equinox this week.
